My name is David Loudenback, and my wife and I own this place.  I went to MMI in 1992 and 1993 and studied everything Harley-Davidson had to offer, as well as four stroke performance and advanced machine shop.  I began working at a dealership in 1993 and have also worked in the custom shop world.  I have the very good fortune of having my oldest son work here, as well as old HD mechanic friends, and a few new friends and fellow MMI alumni.  Living the dream!!!

We are a full service motorcycle shop specializing in Harley-Davidson motorcycles from 1903 to present.  We do everything but custom paint, but we KNOW some guys that do that!  From services to total rebuilds, and everything in between, we do it all!!!  Dyno tuning? Our EFI wizard has a dyno with an eddy current brake that should be here at the shop soon. Motor work?  Everything. Suspension work? Absolutely.  Electrical issues? All day long. Old bikes? It's my favorite!

Cool Stories from the Shop

July 10, 2022

This makes me so very very happy, and although it was brutal for my good friend Dwight and I to pull off in two days, we did it. Two really, really long days!!!

This is Phillip. He is a great guy who is from Brazil, and is riding his 1979 Shovelhead from California to Florida. He is mostly camping along the way.

Philip showed up about an hour before we close. He had been sent to us by our friends at Harley-Davidson World. His rear cylinder was smoking, and there were some pretty bad noises coming from the motor. Upon removing the rear head, we discovered a wrist pin keeper had come loose, and the damage to the cylinder was far beyond boring. We tore it down further to find very loose rods. It was time for a complete rebuild.

There is an unwritten rule in the motorcycle business that if a traveler is broke down, you stop and help them out - so we did. I am proud to tell you that we had EVERYTHING in stock to completely rebuild his motor, including new cylinders, pistons, and a cam. This has been a goal of mine with our little shop, and apparently we made it to the goal!!!

Phillip is on the road somewhere east of here, completing one of his dreams, as I am living mine. I couldn't have done it without Dwight Rinner! He stayed Friday until 1:30am, and came in Saturday (we are off then) from 10am to 10pm.

Enjoy the ride, Phillip, and THANK YOU!!!!
